Welcome

A word from the President

.
President Rick Moynes says “the PROBUS Club of Prince Edward County continues to be of interest to many people. While strictly following the provincial guidelines for gatherings during the pandemic, we’re still able to enjoy some of our activities. Some activities have moved online with Zoom … book groups, current affairs group, travel group, monthly general meeting with guest speakers etc. while others … cycling, hiking, walking, kayaking etc. … are taking place outdoors as weather permits. As our number of members continues to grow, so does the list of social activities. Discussion about new interest groups forming is ongoing. Contact countyprobus@gmail.com to find out more about being part of this dynamic club.

COVID-19 Vaccination Policy

At the Management Committee meeting held on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 the following revised COVID-19 Vaccination Policy was approved:

That all members of the PROBUS Club of Prince Edward County be fully vaccinated to participate in PROBUS activities. For in-person attendance at monthly meetings at the Elks Hall, proof of full vaccination and wearing a mask is required. For the safety of all concerned, and because our membership is in the high risk group, we will take a cautious approach to reopening.

President Rick Moynes and Debbie were recently invited to a BBQ held by the PROBUS Club of Quinte West. They learned about the activities of the QW PROBUS Club and enjoyed socializing with members. A big thank you to long-time PROBUS members Ray & Janet Webb for extending the invitation. It was a beautiful day on Weller’s Bay to socialize with members of PROBUS.
